Results Based Management training
Key staff from International IDEA (democracy & elections) in Stockholm and the Flemish Agency of the European Social Fund participated in a 3-day RBM training to get acqainted with the tools and concepts to enhance the quality of their performance.
EU LTA-Uptake project for Energy Efficiency
A two-day MODERATION course was organized in Warsaw for 11persons from 10 European countries who are involved in establishing Long-Term Agreements (LTA) with Industry and other parties on introducing measures for energy efficiency.

Since 2003 SenterNovem has adopted the LFA tool (which they refer to as "P3N - Programmeren op 3 Niveaus") as an instrument for the discussion among stakeholders and the design of "offertes". Several P3N courses are offered to their staff anually and an internal Moderator Team provide facilitation services in P3N workshops.

Master Class in Peace Management, Torino
A very mixed group of 30 international students followed the one year Master Class in Peace Management at the University of Torino in Italy. It has become a tradition that a week session on Logical Framework Analysis is part of this training. The application of this tool proved its value on the case on conflict resolution and participants are supposed to apply the tool on their own project.

Delft University of Technology
Designing a feasible and sustainable project with social relevance from a scientific research idea is often quite a challenge! It requires better insight in the causal realations of problems that prevail among end-users and suppliers. A project may depend on the collaboration of different faculties who all contribute to the same "service". This training was organized by the Valorisation Centre and Delft TopTech for scientists from all faculties.

International Criminal Court in The Hague and CAR
The Logical Framework Approach was introduced in the OUTREACH UNIT of the International Criminal Court as a tool to enhance the formulation of a more refined and commonly agreed strategy. 'Kick Start' workshops in South Africa
The 'Shooting Exercise': Stakeholders were invited to 'shoot' at the current plan after which each observation got discussed and its repercussions for the plan dealt with either by modifying the plan or by preparing better during the inception or pre-inception phases.
Moderation course - Lithuania

During the last week of June we organized an extra 5-day intensive MODERATION training in Vilnius. This professional training was organized in collaboration with the Vilnius School of Moderation Ltd.


For those who missed this chance we will organize a similar training in Lithuania during the second week of July 2008!

From Monday 7th till Friday 11th of July a professional MODERATION training will be organized by Frank Little (Bureau Frank Little), Erik Kijne (PCM Group) and Dagne-Elzbieta Eitutyte (Vilnius School of Moderation Ltd).

LFA for QUALITY CONTROL in PCM

Participants will be appreciating the concepts and tools of quality control (e.g. 'forking') within the project cycle and will be able to apply the procedures and techniques of the ex-ante assessment of project proposals (building of logic cause-effect tree & structuring a Logical Framework matrix). Backward engineering provides lessons on how to design and formulate proposals / tenders.
LFA & 'Workshopping'

Participants will understand the reasoning behind the GOPP planning procedure to design and formulate an intervention (tender), be able to apply the essential techniques (logic trees & LogFrames), have experienced to moderate a group and leave with an attitude to involve and listen to beneficiaries and other stakeholders in the process.
Monitoring & Evaluation

Participants will experience the large scope of components an M&E plan has, and receive hints on how to address challenges of reaching a commonly agreed plan. Moreover they will be clear on terminology, concepts and methodologies. A clear-cut procedure to identify indicators is core in the course.
Advanced course on PCM

On the basis of applying the quality assessment technique of proposals participants will get a thorough insight into the elements of a Terms of Reference applicable to all phases of the project cycle. The concept of the WHAT , HOW and SUPPORT matrixes will be practised, offering a simple but effective tool for elaborating the Institutional Development plan of organisations involved in service delivery (suppliers). Participants will be aware of the importance of this often ignored area of attention in the planning process.
Moderation training

This course is delivered in collaboration with Bureau Frank Little. Participants will acquire the skills and confidence to moderate a group of participants through the steps of the GOPP or LFA planning procedure. They will thoroughly understand and practice the specific techniques to make workshop participants feel safe and at ease to make them share even sensitive issues and contribute with daring proposals.

The MASTER CLASS is intended for those who frequently practice facilitation and would like to improve their effectiveness in workshops. Here is the change of creating even more joy in your professional life as facilitator.
ToT - Training of Trainers course in PCM

Practice & Feedback of all the concepts and tools relevant to teaching others. Only for those who have attended the introductory course and thus comprehend the messages, tools and procedures will get a chance to specialise on explaining this method and approach to others.
Open Space Technology

Harrison Owens' Open Space Technology (OST) is a technique that enables participants in large groups to bring up and discuss their concerns in a safe environment. Such an exciting mass excercise applying this relatively simple tool will generate a hugh amount of ideas and commitment.
